SFX PCB's standard flex PCBs support up to 8 layers in low-volume production and single or double panels in mass production. Rigid-flex PCBs support up to 20 total layers, with the FPC section supporting up to 12 layers. Single-layer flex PCBs for mass production support 1–16 layers and up to 30 layers for low-volume orders.

The primary base material is polyimide (PI) copper-clad laminate, prized for thermal resilience, chemical resistance, and long flex-cycle durability. Other available substrates include polyester (PET), aramid cellulose ester, PVC, and DuPont films with adhesive or non-adhesive configurations depending on the application's mechanical and environmental requirements.

Available surface coatings include ENIG (Electroless Nickel Immersion Gold), OSP, HASL, Immersion Silver, Immersion Tin, ENEPIG, Soft Gold, and Gold Plating. The choice of finish affects solderability, oxidation resistance, shelf life, and compatibility with SMT assembly. RoHS-compliant lead-free finishes are available for all product lines.
