SMT (Surface Mount Technology) PCBA assembly involves placing and soldering electronic components directly onto the surface of a printed circuit board using automated pick-and-place machines and reflow ovens. Through-hole (THT) assembly inserts component leads through drilled holes and solders them on the underside. SMT enables smaller, denser boards, while THT offers stronger mechanical bonds.
