Isola PCB Materials

Isola 185HR is a high-performance FR-4 laminate composed of a woven fiberglass fabric reinforcement combined with a proprietary halogen-free epoxy resin system. It is specifically designed to offer a higher glass transition temperature (Tg of approximately 185°C), excellent thermal stability, and low Z-axis expansion, making it ideal for lead-free assembly processes and high-reliability multilayer PCBs.

FR406 and FR408 are both Isola laminates, but FR408 offers superior electrical performance. FR406 is a standard high-Tg FR-4 material suited for general multilayer PCBs. FR408 features lower dielectric constant (Dk) and dissipation factor (Df), making it better suited for high-frequency and high-speed digital applications where signal integrity and reduced signal loss are critical design requirements.
